BELLINGHAM, Wash. — It’s going to be a sunny Mother’s Day weekend, and Washingtonians are urged to enjoy it responsibly.
Nicole Oliver, Interim Parks & Rec Director at the City of Bellingham, says City parks and restrooms will remain open as will the Lake Padden golf course, which was able to reopen under the first phase of Governor Jay Inslee’s “Safe Start” plan.
The plan also lifts some restrictions on fishing, hunting, boating, and hiking.
Park visitors should expect to see Park Ambassadors monitoring the areas to ensure people are abiding by social distancing measures.
