SELAH, Wash. – Some agricultural workers in Yakima walked off the job Wednesday in protest of what they consider unsafe working conditions during the COVID-19 outbreak.
The Yakima Herald-Republic reports more than 100 workers gathered outside of the Monson Fruit plant in Selah, some holding signs demanding justice.
Workers this week protested at least three other fruit warehouses.
