BELLINGHAM, Wash. — Bellingham may lose another longtime retailer because of the global pandemic.
CNN reports Pier 1 is asking the bankruptcy court to cease its retail operations as soon as possible, blaming the coronavirus.
The Bellingham store on Meridian Street has been in operation for about 30 years.
J.C. Penney, which has a store at Bellis Fair Mall, has also filed for bankruptcy along with J. Crew, True Religion and Neiman Marcus.
