FERNDALE, Wash. – Tap water in Ferndale will soon have a different taste.
City Communications Officer Riley Sweeney says they’re activating a new well and that residents shouldn’t worry about any changes in flavor.
The well will provide approximately a quarter of the City’s water supply.
That portion will grow once Ferndale finishes expanding their Water Treatment Plant next year.
Sweeney also notes this will soften Ferndale’s water, which became much harder when the city stopped using water from the Nooksack River.
