Bellingham honors George Floyd and voices outrage peacefully

BELLINGHAM, Wash. – A large tribute to George Floyd has been established outside the downtown Bellingham Library.

Flowers, signs and fragrant candles crowd the memorial where people have been expressing grief at the death of the man who died while in the custody of Minneapolis Police officers.

Signs at the memorial under the front awning of the library building also express outrage at Floyd’s death, support for #BlackLivesMatter and calls for justice.
