WHATCOM COUNTY, Wash. – A colony of Asian giant hornets in Whatcom County has likely collapsed.
We reported on a dead Asian giant hornet found in the Custer area last week.
Tuesday, the WSDA confirmed the invasive hornet was a queen and was mated.
They say if she started a nest, it will not survive without her, which means this is effectively one colony down for 2020.
