Whatcom County approved to move to Phase 2

BELLINGHAM, Wash. — Whatcom County is moving to Phase 2.

The state department of health has ok’d our request to move to the next phase of the governor’s re-opening plan.

It allows for in-store retail, restaurants to open at 50% capacity, more construction and manufacturing, more services like barbers and hair stylists, and in-home care and cleaning.

If COVID infection rates remain low, we can progress to Phase 3 in three weeks.
