MT. VERNON, Wash. – A Mt Vernon man is one of 100 runners participating in a border-to-border relay for frontline workers of the pandemic.
Kevin Meenaghan started his first leg of the Be Supportive Relay at the US-Canadian border Saturday morning in Blaine.
The Be Supportive Relay is a 24/7 Multi-marathon relay that started on June 6th and will end at the US-Mexico border on June 24th.
The Skagit Valley Herald reports Kevin ran his second leg of the relay yesterday that stretches from south of Olympia to Chehalis.
It is estimated that 100 runners will participate in 74 marathon legs that will pass by about 50 health care facilities as a way to show support for the health care system.
