US/Canada border will remain closed until July 21st

U.S./CANADA BORDER – The US/Canada border will remain closed for another month because of the pandemic.

CTV aired Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau’s announcement yesterday where he said, “I can now confirm that Canada and the United States have once again agreed to extend by 30 days until July 21st the current measures in place along our border. This is an important decision that will keep people in both of our countries safe.”

The border is closed to all but essential travel.

Canada has begun allowing immediate family members to cross the border but they must stay for two weeks.

Canadians who travel to the U.S. must also quarantine for 14 days when they return.

People can meet without restrictions at Peace Arch Park at the border crossing in Blaine.
