SPOKANE, Wash. – The Lincoln County Sheriff calls it Miss Bee-haven.
Sheriff Wade Magers in the eastern Washington county heard the thief was buzzing local hives.
So two deputies, some bee keepers and farmers set up surveillance.
The “Bee Sting” netted 56-year-old Perry David Bayes, who’s suspected of stealing $200,000 worth of bees across Washington, Oregon, Idaho, Montana and California.
Magers says there’s “money in honey” and he’s happy this came to a sweet ending.
