FERNDALE, Wash. – An iconic Ferndale event will be celebrated virtually this year.
The 125th Old Settlers Weekend was cancelled due to COVID-19 concerns, so the City and the Whatcom Old Settlers Association have decided to release a video celebration of Ferndale’s history and culture instead.
The Whatcom Old Settlers Variety Show will include a video tour of the Pioneer Village cabins, interviews about past Old Settlers Picnics, a string band concert, an inside look at the 2019 Paddle to Lummi event and an original radio drama set in 1932 Ferndale.
The production will be available to stream online at the City of Ferndale’s website starting July 22nd.
