BELLINGHAM, Wash. – More students will qualify for a tuition-free education at WCC beginning fall 2020.
The Washington College Grant program has been expanded to reimburse up to $4219 per year depending upon the student’s family size and income.
The money does not have to be paid back and can used for a variety of college expenses, including housing and transportation.
In a release, Marisa Ellis from Whatcom Community College says the top amount could completely cover a typical 12-credit, three-quarter annual load at that school.
WCC’s summer and fall quarters will be mostly online, with in-person lab sessions for some courses.
