FERNDALE, Wash. – Streets and yards in Ferndale will be looking spiffy soon.

The City has launched a Clean Neighborhoods Initiative.

This summer, they will work with neighbors and businesses to clean up areas of Ferndale, focusing efforts on abandoned and scrap vehicles in front yards as well as overgrown underbrush.

Mayor Greg Hansen says the nice weather makes it an ideal time to walk through your neighborhood and pick up any trash you find.

In a press release, Mayor Hansen said, “Take the time to move that broken down car into a garage and give that yard a mow. These efforts make a big impact on the safety and feel of our community.”
