LYNDEN, Wash. – A Lynden company is in trouble with the EPA for discharging pollutants into Fishtrap Creek.
The agency says Americold Logistics also failed to document monthly inspections and have an adequate storm water pollution prevention plan in place.
The company has agreed to establish a plan to better manage pollutants and pay a $41,500 penalty.
Americold’s Burlington location was found to be committing similar violations, discharging pollutants into Gage Slough, which flows into the Skagit River.
