OLYMPIA, Wash. — The coronavirus pandemic will force most Washingtonians to alter summer travel plans.

The State DOH strongly encourages people to limit travel.

State Health Officer Dr. Kathy Lofy says there are places in Washington with a lot of COVID-19 activity and cross-state travel could further spread the disease.

She says Public Health is requesting that if Washington residents do travel, that they stay close to home.

The DOH says outdoor activities are still okay when done with proper precautions including physical distancing and frequent hand-washing.
