BELLINGHAM, Wash. – New numbers are out that prove what Bellingham renters already know: rent was up sharply here over the past year.
Rental finder Zumper.com says Bellingham saw the 3rd biggest rent increase in the state.
The median rent for a one bedroom apartment was $1150 in May, up 9.5% from the same time last year.
But we are still below the statewide median rent of almost $1300 for a one bedroom.
Bellevue and Kirkland are the priciest for renters at about $2100, while Wenatchee is the most affordable at $900 per month.
