LAS VEGAS, Nev. — An airline that serves Bellingham’s airport says it sees opportunity to grow in spite of the pandemic.
In a letter to shareholders last month, Allegiant CEO Maurice Gallagher Jr. wrote that he expects the airline to thrive the in changed travel environment resulting from COVID-19.
He said they could snap up jets at bargain prices, as bigger rivals retrench and sell aircraft.
The Wall Street Journal reports some leisure travel is returning, because some fliers who kept their jobs throughout the pandemic are finding themselves with more disposable income.
