BELLINGHAM, Wash. — The popular downtown Bellingham summer concert series will look a little different this year.
In order to prevent the spread of COVID-19, organizers are converting the 2020 Downtown Sounds event into a virtual experience.
Their goal this year is to “Save Our Stages,” supporting local music venues who have been hit hard financially by the pandemic.
On three Wednesdays in August — the 12th, 19th, and 26th — a different Bellingham venue will host a virtual Downtown Sounds concert and viewers are encouraged to donate $5 to the cause.
