OLYMPIA, Wash. — A new forecast says we might be in for a cold and wet winter in the Northwest this year.
The federal Climate Prediction Center has issued a La Nina watch, meaning cooler ocean temps may lead to a more “wintery” winter.
The Capital Press reports after evaluating more than two dozen forecasting models, the Center arrived at a more than fifty-fifty chance of a La Nina this winter.
