BELLINGHAM, Wash. — A Bellingham business is working hard to keep up with demand for personal protective equipment.
The so-called Humanity Shield was developed in Juneau, Alaska after a local speech therapist requested something that offered comfort and protection while allowing communication with her clients.
Demand for the products is soaring amid the coronavirus pandemic and Bellingham-based Oyster Creek Canvas has stepped up to produce and distribute them in Washington and Oregon.
They cost about $60 each — less if you buy in bulk.
