OLYMPIA, Wash. — COVID-19 restrictions affecting indoor dining and bar service in Washington just got tighter.

Governor Jay Inslee announced new rules today in a further effort to stem a surge in COVID cases statewide.

Indoor dining at restaurants will be limited to members of the same household and alcohol service must end at 10 p.m.

Bars, taverns, breweries, wineries and distilleries must close all indoor service, regardless of whether they serve food.

Religious and secular wedding ceremonies will still be allowed, but receptions will be prohibited.

And gyms in counties in Phase 2, like Whatcom County, will only allow 5 people inside at a time.
