FERNDALE, Wash. — It looks like Ferndale families will be able to decide how their student will attend school in the fall.
The Ferndale School District Reopening Taskforce released three options for reopening in the fall, including a full-time distance learning option, a rotating option that provides a combination of in-person learning for two days a week and distance learning for three days a week, and a phased-in option, which will involve some students spending more time in in-person learning based on their age, grade level and educational needs.
The district says they plan to have families choose one of these options for September, but they say that’s subject to change.
A task force is meeting weekly to finalize the district’s reopening plan, which is due to the state August 19th.
