SEATTLE, Wash. — Alaska Airlines has notified 4,200 employees that they could be furloughed this fall.
A company statement says the cuts will affect customer service agents, flight attendants and maintenance technicians.
Under a labor agreement, pilots will not be affected.
Alaska reported a nearly half-billion dollar second quarter loss.
