BELLINGHAM, Wash. — The Whatcom County Planning Commission is nearing the end of a years-long process of updating rules for fossil fuels industries at Cherry Point and elsewhere in the county.
It’s holding a virtual public hearing on amendments to the Whatcom County Comprehensive Plan regard the refining, storage and shipping facilities including piers next Thursday, August 13th, at 6 p.m.
The proposals also include environmental amendments, major project permitting, greenhouse gas emissions and more.
Comments can be made by phone, web or mobile app or in writing and pre-registration is recommended.
