BELLINGHAM, Wash. — A local master’s swimmer and coach is speaking out about the continued closure of Arne Hanna Aquatic Center in Bellingham.
The pool has been closed since March 16th due to the coronavirus pandemic, but Brad Jones with the Bellingham Bay Swim Team believes it could be opened safely.
Mayor’s office spokesperson Janice Keller says the city is still evaluating how and when to open the Aquatic Center and other city facilities while following the governor’s restrictions and keeping staff and users safe.
