BELLINGHAM, Wash. — There’s a new opportunity for local college students to get involved in the tech industry.
Whatcom Community College was named a Career Connect Washington Intermediary and awarded more than $100,000 from the state Employment Security Agency to develop a new associate degree in software development.
The college will be working with local and regional employers to help develop the program and host paid work-based learning opportunities.
The targeted launch for the new program will be fall 2021.
