BELLINGHAM, Wash. — You might see something a little unusual as you drive through downtown Bellingham tonight (tues).
The Mount Baker Theatre is lighting up their tower red, joining other venues across the nation in a call for Congress to pass the RESTART Act, which would extend the Paycheck Protection Program to support small businesses impacted by COVID-19.
They say the live event industry in North America employs more than 12 million people and has an economic impact of over $1 trillion.
The theater urges Whatcom County residents to show support by stopping by tonight (tues), snapping a photo, and posting it with the hashtag RedAlertRESTART.
