BELLINGHAM, Wash. — A staff member at a local homeless shelter has tested positive for the coronavirus.
The case at Lighthouse Mission Ministries’ shelter for women and children, Agape Home on Holly Street, is the first known case in the organization.
The organization says the virus was detected quickly and, out of an abundance of caution, all shelter guests and staff are being tested for COVID-19 and are quarantining.
All close contacts have been contacted by the health department.
