BLAINE, Wash. — Two local women were injured in a head-on crash Sunday evening.
Troopers say 80-year-old Ellen M. Bonebrake of Blaine was driving northbound in the southbound lanes on Portal way from Birch Bay Lynden Road when she hit a vehicle driven by 27-year-old Elizabeth A Humphery of Bellingham.
Bonebrake was transported to Harborview and Humphery was taken to St. Joseph Hospital.
Troopers say drugs or alcohol was involved and charges are under investigation.
