BELLINGHAM, Wash. — A stolen vehicle chase through streets, sidewalks and fields landed a 46- year old Bellingham man in jail Sunday.
The Whatcom County Sheriff’s Office says James Justin Turner led law enforcement on a chase through the Whatcom Community College and Cordata area of Bellingham before driving into a small brush area where his vehicle got stuck on a tree.
Turner abandoned the car but was found nearby.
Nearly two grams of methamphetamine were found in the car.
Turner was arrested on charges of hit and run, theft of a motor vehicle and other charges.
He was booked into Whatcom County Jail in lieu of $35,000 bond.
