BELLINGHAM, Wash. — The health department has again cancelled mobile COVID-19 testing due to lingering poor air quality.
Those with Tuesday appointments will be notified of cancellations and will be given an opportunity to register for an appointment at a later date.
The Bellingham Food Bank has also cancelled food distribution Tuesday at Shuksan Middle School.
Please visit www.bellinghamfoodbank.org for updates.
Curbside pick-up has been cancelled Tuesday at most Whatcom County Library System branches including Blaine, Everson, Ferndale, Island, Lynden, Point Roberts, South Whatcom and Sumas Libraries and at the Northwest Drive Library Express.
Deming and North Fork Libraries are open for curbside pickup at their regular hours.
Service updates will be posted at wcls.org and on the library system’s social media pages.
The health department also has a few tips to keep indoor air as clean as possible during the smoke.
They recommend closing windows and doors as much as possible, and avoiding smoking, candles, or vacuuming.
