BELLINGHAM, Wash. — You may see some unusual activity at the Bellingham airport later this week.

The Port of Bellingham is conducting a full-scale emergency response exercise at BLI from 9:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Wednesday.

The Port says most of the drill will be staged within the boundaries of the airport, but members of the public may see emergency vehicles and acting passengers with simulated injuries.

Community volunteers will be role-playing aircraft crash victims and victims’ family members to help test the airport’s emergency response plan as required by the FAA.
