BELLINGHAM, Wash. — Whatcom County’s unemployment rate continued to improve last month
Employment Security yesterday reported a 9.4%, non-seasonally adjusted rate for August.
That is down from 11.6% in July, but up from the 5% rate reported for August 2019.
In the past year, the Whatcom County labor force has grown by almost five thousand people.
