LYNDEN, Wash. — There will be no mobile COVID-19 testing in Lynden Friday morning.

The Whatcom County Health Department has decided to close the morning session of drive-through testing operations due to gale-force wind forecasts.

Testing was supposed to take place from 9 a.m. to noon at Bender Fields.

The National Weather Service issued a high wind advisory through Friday morning morning, which the health department says could create unsafe conditions for mobile testing.

Whatcom Unified Command does still plan to hold testing Friday from 1-4 p.m. at the Sikh Temple on East Pole Road in Lynden.
