BELLINGHAM, Wash. — A Whatcom County Sheriff’s deputy decided to do something to show support after two Los Angeles County deputies were shot in an ambush two weeks ago.
Deputy Jerilyn Klix put out the call for items for a care package and received letters, patches, badges, t-shirts and more from agencies all around the area.
Both of the LA County officers have been released from the hospital and are recovering at home.
Deputy Klix says they’ll send the package today.
