BELLINGHAM, Wash. — There’s a new second-hand shop in town that benefits animals in need.
The Whatcom Humane Society will open a new thrift shop in the Cordata Place Shopping Center, located in the same parking lot as Burlington Coat Factory off of Meridian Street in Bellingham.
Its first sale will take place next Saturday, October 17.
Proceeds will support the shelter’s daily operations and animals in their domestic animal shelter, farm facility, and wildlife rehabilitation center.
The humane society is not currently accepting donated items for the store, but that could change soon.
