BELLINGHAM, Wash. — Strong winds blew a tree over at Western Washington University yesterday, injuring one.
The university reports the tree fell at about 2:30pm near the intersection of East College Way and South College Way on campus.
A worker on Western’s grounds maintenance crew was on a tractor clearing debris when the tree fell onto a pickup truck and a piece struck them.
The worker was been transported to the hospital.
