Seattle Police officer burned by thrown piece of lumber

SEATTLE, Wash. (AP) — A Seattle Police officer was burned after a man threw a burning piece of lumber inside the officer’s cruiser.

KOMO reports the officer was taken to Harborview Medical Center for treatment for non-life-threatening burns.

The incident occurred around 1:30 p.m. yesterday.

Police said the officer’s cruiser was parked in an alley while they were searching for a suspect.
