WHATCOM COUNTY, Wash. — Logging activity on Galbraith Mountain will temporarily close some mountain biking trails.

The Whatcom Mountain Bike Coalition says Janicki Logging has started harvest operations in the Red Rock area heading north.

Trails impacted will be upper Huff and Puff, Mohawk, Mullet, Happy Hour, High Life, Bottle Opener, Keystone, Vitamin R, The Finger, Devilcross and Supercross.

Depending on weather and other factors, they anticipate logging will be complete by late January and trails will be closed and reopened as quickly as possible.

Trail closures and reopenings will be announced on the WMBC website.
