FERNDALE, Wash. – Two men and a woman are in jail following an armed robbery in Ferndale Monday night.
A Ferndale City spokesman says 29-year-old Abshir Ali and 31-year-old Ramadmi Rashid entered a business on Portal Drive at about 10 p.m. and lingered until closing time.
Ali then pointed a gun at an employee and demanded money.
A Whatcom County Sheriff’s deputy spotted the two men and a woman in a car nearby and stopped them after a chase.
The three ran from the scene but officers arrested Rashid and the woman, 28-year-old Jeana Hall, with the help of a K-9 unit.
Hall was found with cash stuffed in her clothes and had dropped some while running.
A tip led officers to Ali in the 2000 block of Grandview Road Tuesday afternoon and a SWAT team arrested him after a stand-off.
Ali is also suspected in a robbery in Bellingham earlier on Monday.
All three face 1st degree robbery charges.
