POINT ROBERTS, Wash. — The Trump administration is funding high-speed broadband in Point Roberts.

The U.S. Department of Agriculture is investing nearly $600,000 to provide broadband service in unserved and underserved rural areas in Washington, part of the $550 million Congress allocated to the second round of the ReConnect program.

Whidbey Telecom will use a ReConnect grant to deploy a fiber-to-the-premises network to connect underserved residents and businesses to high-speed internet in Point Roberts.
