FERNDALE, Wash. — A Ferndale woman is behind bars after allegedly stealing hundreds of thousands of dollars from her employer.
A spokesperson for the city reports Ferndale Police arrested Christine D. Rodelas Thursday on charges of theft and forgery.
Financial records show Rodelas stole close to $500,000 from her employer between 2017 and 2020.
She was employed as a bookkeeper at Tuff Trailers on Portal Way for over seven years.
Authorities say Rodelas used company credit and wrote company checks to herself and others and forged the owner’s name.
