BELLINGHAM, Wash. — A big one-day surge in new coronavirus positives in Whatcom County Tuesday.
The state health department’s data dashboard shows 16 new cases for that day, the most recent report available.
The state’s risk dashboard puts the two-week rate per 100,000 population down to 46.6, which while lower, is still nearly twice the state’s goal.
That dashboard also shows that available hospital capacity has dropped to 12%, with three county patients hospitalized for COVID-19.
