MOUNT VERNON, Wash. — Mount Vernon police are looking for a hit and run driver that left a 16-year old girl injured and fighting for her life.

Sergeant Mike Don says witnesses reported seeing a white or silver Prius speeding out of the intersection of East College Way at 35th Street just after 5pm yesterday.

The victim was reportedly hit nearby, and then taken to the hospital with life-threatening injuries.

Police say the Toyota may have front-end or windshield damage.
