WHATCOM COUNTY, Wash. — A combined $50,000 in grants will go to a handful of organizations supporting communities in Whatcom County.
First Federal Community Foundation selected 25 nonprofit organizations serving Whatcom, Clallam, Jefferson and Kitsap Counties to receive their Fall 2020 grants.
Foundation Executive Director Jan Simon says all of the recipients are focused on improving lives in our communities, which is an even more urgent mission during these challenging times.
Local nonprofits Blue Skies for Children, Boys & Girls Clubs of Whatcom County, Communities In Schools of Whatcom County, Northwest Youth Services, Skookum Kids and Wild Bird Charity made the list.
All six work to support students and youth in need.
