BELLINGHAM, Wash. — The Whatcom County Sheriff’s Office is investigating a possible sex trafficking case.
Deputies responded after receiving a call from a 16-year-old girl who said she “just needed to go home” Wednesday around 5 p.m.
The call was traced to the 4700 block of North King Mountain Road in North Bellingham, where deputies knew 39-year-old Darrin Mosely, a registered sex offender, lived.
Deputies contacted Mosely in a 10×10 shack on the property and the teen girl immediately emerged and asked deputies to take her home.
She said Mosely had kept her there against her will after being dropped off ten days prior.
Mosely admitted to having sex with the female, as well as giving her alcohol and marijuana.
He was arrested on multiple charges and booked into the Whatcom County Jail.
