BELLINGHAM, Wash. — Whatcom County’s unemployment rate dropped again last month, according to figures just released from the Employment Security Department.
The non-seasonally adjusted October rate was 6.3%, down from 8.8% in September and 17.7% at its worst in April, following initial pandemic business closures.
The statewide unemployment rate for October was 6%, with largest category job growth in local government, professional, and administrative jobs.
