MOUNT VERNON, Wash. — Police have made an arrest in the hit-and-run that left a Mount Vernon teen fighting for her life last week.
The Skagit Valley Herald reports Mount Vernon Police arrested a 20-year-old Skagit County man yesterday (tues) for investigation after a vehicle he was allegedly driving struck a 16-year-old girl while she was crossing the street at about 5 p.m. November 16.
Police believe Luke Minor struck the girl near the intersection of East College Way and North 35th street in Mount Vernon and then fled the scene.
The girl was taken to Harborview Medical Center where she remains in critical condition.
