BELLINGHAM, Wash. — Students at Western Washington University won’t be returning to in-person learning for a few months.

University officials are taking safety precautions amid the surge in COVID-19 cases locally, regionally and nationally.

A spokesperson for the university says all classes will begin winter quarter with remote instruction only starting January 5.

In-person classes will be delayed until January 19.
