BELLINGHAM, Wash. — A property in Bellingham’s Columbia Neighborhood is no longer on the state’s list of contaminated sites.
The Department of Ecology put the site of a former gas station at the intersection of Broadway and Elm Street on the list in 2018.
That was based on data from when the storage tanks were removed in the 1990’s.
But quarterly tests over the past year have found no contamination of ground water above state standards.
Ecology is taking public comment on the de-listing through January 3rd.
